So, is there a permanent solution to all your agonies? Check out the HCG diet. It may be the very miracle that you have been looking for.

How did the HCG diet come into being?

It all started back in the 1950s, when Dr. AWT Simeons, a reputed British endocrinologist stumbled upon an uncanny equation between weight loss and HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin). HCG is found in a lump sum in a pregnant woman’s placenta. Initially, HCG was used, in small doses to treat low testosterone in adolescent boys. Soon enough, Dr. AWT Simeons noticed a tendency of slimming down in his patients, especially in the abdominal region.

Over the next decade, Dr. AWT Simeons conducted several experiments with HCG doses and specific selection of foods. He was quick to prove that specified doses of HCG, when induced in the human body (of both sexes) with selected food choices, can lead to rapid and extraordinary weight loss within short periods of time. It was found to be much more effective than the regular diet and exercise routines. Needless to say, the HCG diet became a hit with several patients and practitioners of medicine, as if overnight. The HCG diet will make it easier for you to diet and lose weight.

The different phases of HCG diet

HCG diet directly attacks the abnormal fat reserves of one’s body in three distinctive phase. The first phase is as interesting as it is unconventional. During this phase, the dieter is asked to ‘force eat’ all what they can. It is called the ‘gain before losing phase’; it can continue from day 3 to day 7. Many patients get a bit wary about the weight gain resulting from this increased calorie consumption but the excess weight gained during this phase is lost just as easily, within 48 hours of starting the HCG diet.

Coming to phase II, this is where the ‘fun’ begins. In the HCG diet, this is the drop phase where the dieter chooses to take HCG drops for either a period of 26 or 40 days. During this time, the dieter is allowed to consume a diet of 500 calories from a list of HCG approved foods and vegetables. During this phase, the food choices and proportions are strictly monitored. If the instructions are followed to the letter, the dieter can gear up to experience a weight loss of 2 pounds a day at an average.

The phase III of the HCG diet spans over a period of 4 weeks during which the calorie count of the dieter is slowly and gradually increased while the drops continue to be. In the first week, the dieter is encouraged to add new vegetables and fruits to the consumption routine, by the second week the dieters are allowed to add more servings of protein (turkey, white cheese, pork etc.). By the time the 3rd-week sets in, the calorie count goes up to 1100-1300 calories and the dieter is allowed to add even milk and mayonnaise to their consumption. Speaking of the fourth week, the dieter is allowed to consume 1300-1500 calories. At this point, the dieter can eat fairly normally but the catch is to stick to the HCG approved food chart throughout.

Sounds like a really cool way to lose all the extra weight, right? The HCG diet is indeed the best way to lose weight but you must keep it in mind that it is not for everyone! No, no this is not to discourage you but only to make sure that both your health and your physician permits to go on such a diet in the first place!
