Friendly Characteristics

With so much uncertainty in the world, one of the few things left to find and hold onto is a true friend. People are desperately looking for them though. While you may consider yourself a good person, here are a few traits that can help you be an even better friend.

Be Happy

One of the best things you can do for someone else is sharing with them your smile. It’s one of the most contagious things you have. While some days it may be harder to smile than others, don’t let anything stop you from doing it. When you see someone down, make it your mission to see them happy and laughing by the time you have to go. Don’t let someone go throughout their day being sad and lonely. Get over there and help them up.

Be Thoughtful

One of the most important traits of a person is how much they really think and care about others. When you see someone hurting or in need, your reaction will tell them if you truly care or not. Spend time thinking about what you can do for people. With a little thought and perhaps some extra work, come up with ways you can spread kindness, letting people know you are there for them.

Be Real

No matter what your life is like or who you think you are, you can never be anything but yourself. Let people see the real you. There’s no need to put on airs and act like someone you aren’t, but there’s also no place for a fake either. If you tell someone you’re going to do something for them, do it. Don’t let anything stand in your way. People should know they can trust you.

Don’t let anyone tell you who you can or can’t be. While some of these qualities may not come naturally to you, you can work on making them a part of your everyday life.
